Minecraft skin 3D preview

Render a Minecraft skin from every side and export the presentation set a buyer expects: a four-angle contact sheet, a cover image at gig-listing size, and turntable frames. No game, no screenshots, no cropping.

How to make preview images for a Minecraft skin

  1. 1

    Add your skin

Drop in the finished PNG. Legacy 64x32 files are upgraded first so the left limbs exist as real texture rather than being mirrored at render time.

  2. 2

    Pick a pose

Standing reads cleanest for approval. Walking and running show the second layer moving, which is the fastest way to prove a cape or jacket sits right. Waving suits a listing thumbnail.

  3. 3

    Choose a backdrop

None keeps the alpha channel so you can drop the character onto your own template. The solid options are there when you need a finished image immediately.

  4. 4

    Export the set

The four-angle sheet goes to the buyer for approval, the 1280x769 cover goes on your listing, and the turntable frames are for anyone who wants an animation.

Why these are renders and not generated images

A Minecraft skin preview is a projection: a known texture wrapped onto a known mesh. There is exactly one correct result, and this tool computes it with the same renderer the community uses in the browser.

An image model asked for the same picture would produce something that looks right and is not. Colours drift, details get invented, proportions shift. The buyer approves that image and then receives a different file, and the gig gets a revision request or a refund. Generation belongs behind the character, in the backdrop, not in the character itself.

What the four angles are for

Front, right, back and left. Most defects in a commissioned skin live on the faces nobody checks: a back of the head that was never drawn, a left arm that is still a mirrored copy of the right, a seam where two faces meet at the shoulder.

Showing all four at once means the buyer confirms the whole character rather than the one view you happened to screenshot, which is what stops a revision two days later.

The cover image is a specific size for a reason

1280 by 769 is the gig image size Fiverr expects. Exporting at exactly that avoids the upload re-crop that otherwise cuts the top of a character's head off.

With the backdrop set to none the export keeps its alpha channel, so the character can be composited into whatever template you already use.

Nothing is uploaded

Rendering happens on your GPU through WebGL in your own tab. The texture never leaves your machine and neither do the exports.

Questions about Minecraft skin previews

Are these previews exactly my skin?
Yes. The renderer wraps your actual texture around the real Minecraft humanoid model, so every pixel visible in the preview is a pixel in the file. Nothing is generated, which is the whole point: a buyer approving a preview is approving the delivery.
Why do I get frames instead of a GIF?
Browsers can only encode WebM natively, which is the format a buyer on a phone is least likely to open. Rather than ship something half-usable, the turntable exports 24 numbered PNGs that any editor, or an online GIF maker, will turn into an animation in seconds.
Can I use a transparent background?
Set the backdrop to None. The exported PNG keeps its alpha channel so you can composite the character into your own delivery template or listing design.
Does the pose affect the delivered skin?
No. The pose only changes how the model is posed for the picture. The texture file you deliver is untouched by anything on this page.
Why does my left arm look identical to the right?
If the skin started as a legacy 64x32 file, it genuinely is identical: that format stored only the right limbs and the game mirrored them. The notice above the preview appears when that upgrade has been applied.
Will it render a cape?
Not yet. Cape support differs between Java, Bedrock and third-party clients, and we would rather leave it out than render something a buyer cannot actually wear. The same reasoning applies to cape packaging in the .mcpack converter.
