Terms of Service for SkinMaker

Last updated: September 13, 2026

1. What this service is

SkinMaker (https://skinmaker.app) provides tools for working with
Minecraft skin files: converting them between formats, packaging them for
Bedrock Edition, producing preview renders, and related utilities. It also
provides AI image generation — a skin generator, a part redraw tool and a
backdrop generator.

AI generation is performed by third-party models accessed through the Kie.ai
API platform: Nano Banana 2 (Google), GPT Image 2 (OpenAI), GPT Image 2.5 Flare (OpenAI), GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (OpenAI).
The model used for a given job is named in the generator before you submit it.
Section 2 of our Acceptable Use Policy (https://skinmaker.app/aup) lists
these models and is updated whenever they change. We are an independent product
and are not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with any AI model provider.

We are not affiliated with Mojang AB or Microsoft, and this is not an official
Minecraft product. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under the age
of majority where you live, you may use it only with the involvement of a parent
or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. Paid plans may only be
purchased by someone able to enter a contract.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of every skin, texture and image you upload or create. You
grant us only the limited permission needed to process those files in order to
provide the features you asked for. We do not sell your files, use them to train
models, or publish them.

You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload. Do not upload
artwork you do not have permission to use, and do not use the service to produce
material that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.

Photographs and likenesses of real people. If a reference image you upload
contains a photograph or likeness of a real person, that person must be you, or
you must have their explicit permission to upload it for this purpose — and
where they are a minor, the permission of their parent or guardian. Uploading a
photo of another person without their consent is prohibited. You are asked to
confirm this each time you attach a reference image, and that confirmation is a
representation that it is true. Section 4 of the Acceptable Use Policy sets this
out in full.

4. Commercial use

Output you create with a paid plan may be used commercially, including in paid
client work. Free-tier output may carry a watermark; removing it is a paid
feature, not something to work around.

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the service — and in particular of the AI generation features — is
governed by our Acceptable Use Policy at https://skinmaker.app/aup, which
forms part of these terms. It is the full content policy: what may not be
generated, how prompts and content are moderated, how to report a violation,
what we do about one, and how to appeal.

In summary, you may not generate, upload or distribute:
  - pornographic or NSFW content;
  - violent or gory content;
  - hate speech;
  - child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors;
  - deepfakes or impersonation of real people;
  - content infringing someone else's copyright or trademark.

You also may not attempt to disrupt the service, access other users' files,
resell access to the service itself, or work around its safety measures.

Every free-text prompt is screened before it reaches a model, and a prompt that
fails screening is refused without charge. Where a violation is confirmed we may
warn you, remove the content, restrict features, clear remaining credits,
suspend or permanently terminate the account, and — for content involving child
safety or terrorism — report it to law enforcement. The Acceptable Use Policy
sets out the full ladder and the appeal route.

Reports of violating content go to support@skinmaker.app with "REPORT"
in the subject line.

6. Paid plans

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time,
and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices
may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes never apply retroactively to a
period already paid for.

7. Refunds

If the service does not work as described, contact support@skinmaker.app
within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it.

8. Availability

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability,
and features described as in development may change or not ship.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to
account holders and by a notice on the site before they take effect.

10. Contact and governing law

Questions: support@skinmaker.app

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of business, stated
in the account records available on request.
