Acceptable Use Policy — AI-Generated Content
Last updated: September 13, 2026
SkinMaker ("Platform", "we", "us", "our") operates https://skinmaker.app
and is committed to providing a safe, lawful and responsible AI-generated
content service. This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to all content
generated, uploaded, published or stored through the Platform, and sets out our
content standards, moderation, reporting procedures and enforcement actions.
Everyone using the Platform must comply with this Policy. It forms part of our
Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to:
- Images: AI-generated Minecraft skin textures, redrawn skin parts, and
AI-generated backdrop images.
- User inputs (prompts): the free-text descriptions you type into the skin
generator, the part redraw tool and the backdrop tool.
- Uploaded material: reference images and skin textures you upload.
- Derived files: .mcpack packages, HD upscales, UV layout sheets and 3D
preview renders produced from the above.
We do not generate text, audio, video or voice.
2. Underlying AI models
We are an independent product. We are not operated by, endorsed by or
affiliated with any AI model provider, and we do not market ourselves under a
model provider's name or logo.
AI image generation on the Platform is performed by the following third-party
models, accessed through the Kie.ai API platform (https://kie.ai):
- Nano Banana 2 (Google)
- GPT Image 2 (OpenAI)
- GPT Image 2.5 Flare (OpenAI)
- GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst (OpenAI)
Which model runs a given job is shown in the generator before you submit it,
and you choose it yourself. Backdrop generation and part redraw always use
Nano Banana 2 (Google). If we add, remove or change a model, this section and
the generator's model picker are updated at the same time.
Output produced by these models is AI-generated. Do not present it as
human-drawn work where that distinction matters to a buyer.
3. Content standards and prohibited categories
The Platform prohibits generating, uploading or distributing the following six
categories of content:
1. Pornography / NSFW content — sexually explicit imagery, nudity, sexual
acts, or sexualised depictions of any character or person. This applies to
skin textures, reference uploads and backdrops alike. There is no
age-verified tier on this Platform; adult content is prohibited outright,
not restricted.
2. Violence / gore — graphic injury, mutilation, torture, dismemberment,
realistic depictions of killing, or imagery whose purpose is to shock.
3. Hate speech — content attacking, degrading or dehumanising people on the
basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex,
gender identity, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic,
including hate symbols and extremist insignia.
4. Child-unsafe content (CSAM) — child sexual abuse material, or any sexual
or suggestive content involving, or appearing to involve, a minor.
5. Deepfakes / impersonation of real people — content that depicts an
identifiable real person in a way they did not consent to, that
impersonates a real person, brand or organisation, or that could be
mistaken for a genuine likeness, statement or endorsement.
6. Content infringing copyright or trademarks — characters, artwork, logos,
brands or designs you do not own or have permission to use.
3.1 Absolutely prohibited — zero tolerance
The following are actioned immediately and may be reported to law enforcement:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any sexual content involving minors.
- Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, extremism or mass violence.
- Technical instructions for weapons of mass destruction.
- Content inciting genocide or ethnic hatred.
- Non-consensual deepfake sexual content targeting a real individual.
3.2 Restricted — subject to review
- Stylised combat or fantasy-violence themes: permitted only where they stay
within the visual conventions of Minecraft and carry a clear creative
context. Graphic gore is prohibited under category 2 regardless of context.
- Politically sensitive imagery: permitted only where it is not misleading
and does not impersonate a real political figure.
- Real-world military, police or medical insignia: must not imply an official
affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.
3.3 Generally prohibited conduct
- Uploading a photograph or likeness of a real person without the rights
described in section 4.
- Impersonating a real individual, brand or organisation.
- Infringing intellectual property, publicity or privacy rights.
- Passing AI-generated output off as human-created where that misleads a
buyer or a marketplace.
- Bulk-generating spam or deceptive commercial content.
- Jailbreak prompts, encodings or workarounds designed to bypass the
Platform's safety measures, and repeated attempts to find one.
- Attempting to disrupt the service, access other users' files, or resell
access to the service itself.
4. Uploaded material depicting real people
The skin generator accepts a reference image. If that image contains a
photograph or likeness of a real person, you must either:
- be the person shown, or
- have that person's explicit permission to upload their photo or likeness
for this purpose (and, where the person is a minor, the permission of their
parent or legal guardian).
Uploading a photo of another person without their consent is prohibited. When
you attach a reference image, you are asked to confirm this before the
generation can start; submitting that confirmation is a representation that the
above is true. We may remove the material, refuse the generation and action the
account if it is not.
You keep ownership of what you upload. We use it only to run the feature you
asked for, we do not train models on it, and reference uploads are deleted
automatically after a short retention period.
5. Content moderation
We operate a layered moderation system.
5.1 Automated screening (real time)
- Input screening: every free-text prompt submitted to the skin generator,
the part redraw tool and the backdrop tool is screened before it reaches a
model, using the Waffo Prompt Screening API
(https://docs.waffo.ai — POST /v1/actions/verification/scan-prompt).
Generation proceeds only on an "allow" verdict. A "block" verdict refuses
the request and costs no credits. If the screening service cannot return a
verdict, the request is held rather than generated unscreened.
- Output screening: generated images are subject to the safety filters of the
upstream model providers listed in section 2, which refuse disallowed
output at the source, and to our own review on report.
- Usage-pattern monitoring: per-account and per-IP rate limits, with
anomalous or repeated refused requests flagged for review.
5.2 Human review
- Auto-flagged and reported content enters a human review queue handled by
the SkinMaker support team.
- Reviewers are trained on this Policy and are bound by confidentiality.
5.3 Periodic audits
- Refused-prompt logs and reported content are sampled and reviewed monthly.
- Screening thresholds are re-evaluated on the basis of that sample.
5.4 Severity levels
L1 — Critical Child safety, terrorism, non-consensual sexual deepfake.
Auto-block plus human confirmation. Immediate permanent ban
and report to authorities.
L2 — High Pornography/NSFW, gore, hate speech, deepfake impersonation.
Auto-flag plus priority review. Content removed, account
suspended.
L3 — Medium Copyright or trademark infringement, unauthorised real-person
upload, misleading presentation. Human review. Warning and
removal.
L4 — Low Minor or borderline violations. Report-triggered. Warning and
a required edit.
6. Reporting
6.1 When to report
- Any content or behaviour that breaches the standards in section 3.
- Critical violations involving child safety or terrorism.
- Use of your own likeness, artwork or brand without your permission.
6.2 Principles
- Confidentiality: a reporter's identity is protected.
- Impartiality: every report is reviewed independently and on its facts.
- Anti-abuse: malicious or knowingly false reports are recorded and actioned.
6.3 How to report
Email: support@skinmaker.app
Put "REPORT" in the subject line. Include the URL or a description of the
content, the account or share link if you have it, and — for a rights or
likeness complaint — a statement of who you are and what right you hold. If
the report concerns child safety or an imminent threat, put "URGENT" in the
subject line and it is escalated ahead of the queue.
We monitor this address and acknowledge reports automatically on receipt.
7. Response and resolution times
L1 — Critical Initial response within 2 hours; resolved within 24 hours.
L2 — High Initial response within 24 hours; resolved within 3 business days.
L3 — Medium Initial response within 3 business days; resolved within 7 business days.
L4 — Low Initial response within 5 business days; resolved within 15 business days.
If a case needs longer, we tell the reporter and say why. The workflow is:
received (auto-acknowledged) -> triaged (classified L1-L4) -> reviewed
(automated plus human) -> decided -> enforced -> reporter notified.
8. Enforcement actions
On a confirmed violation we may take any of the following, alone or together:
1. Warning — written notice requiring removal or an edit.
Applies to: a first minor violation.
2. Content removal — the violating generation, upload or share link is taken
down. Applies to: confirmed L3-L4.
3. Feature restriction — reduced generation quota, or loss of access to a
model or to reference uploads. Applies to: a repeat minor violation or a
single L3.
4. Credit clearance — remaining generation credits on the account are
forfeited without refund. Applies to: credits earned or spent in the
course of a confirmed L2 or L1 violation.
5. Account suspension — access suspended pending review. Applies to: L2, or
accumulated lower-level violations.
6. Permanent ban — the account is terminated permanently and we refuse
further service. Applies to: any L1, or a repeat L2.
7. Legal action — referral to law enforcement and cooperation with their
investigation. Applies to: criminal-level L1.
Nothing in this section obliges us to refund a subscription period or credits
forfeited under a confirmed violation.
9. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, you may appeal within 30 days
of being notified.
Email: support@skinmaker.app
Put "APPEAL" in the subject line and include the notice you received and the
request ID if one was given. Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days by
someone who was not involved in the original decision. We will tell you the
outcome and the reason for it.
10. Transparency and changes to this Policy
- We publish a content-safety summary annually.
- Material changes to this Policy are announced at least 15 days before they
take effect, by email to account holders and by a notice on the site.
- Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect is acceptance of
it.
